This has to be the most ridiculous flying thing ever discovered

Meet the pink pterosaur, the most ridiculous dinosaur flying thing I've ever seen. The Pterodaustro guinazui was the flamingo of the Jurassic and one of the new flying beasts being introduced at the American Museum of Natural History's newest exhibit, Pterosaurs: Flight in the Age of Dinosaurs.

According to scientists, the Pterodaustro guinazui's skin was probably pink because, like the flamingos, "this species probably had a diet similar to that of flamingos: small crustaceans like brine shrimp. And flamingos do get their pink color from what they eat: the brine shrimp dine on Spirulina algae, which make carotenoids—organic pigments that create many of the colorful colors we see in birds, including the pinks of flamingos."
