The story is set up as a classic Western but then makes a pretty heavy turn and becomes a story about forgiveness. Basically, it’s a story made for adults. Advertisement Hamou-Lhadj worked as a character artist on Pixar movies such as Wall-E and Toy Story 3 while Coats worked on Brave and The Good Dinosaur. They made this short in their spare time at Pixar. Here’s a bit about the story:A weathered Sheriff returns to the remains of an accident he has spent a lifetime trying to forget. With each step forward, the memories come flooding back. Faced with his mistake once again, he must find the strength to carry on.Not only is the story moving, the animation style is stunning too.Casey Chancchan@gizmodo.com@caseychanEditor, SploidRecommended Stories This Animated Tribute to the NASA Voyager Space Program Is Simply Stunning Watching This Short Animation Is Like Taking a Trip to the Mall in the 80s This Dark Animation About the Future Is StunningGear from Kinja Deals The Best Black Friday DealsBestsellers: Belkin 3-Outlet Travel ChargerGive the Gift of Better Wi-Fi With This $70 TP-Link Archer C7Reply137 repliesLeave a reply
