I’m not sure which is my favorite part in the making of this cast aluminum skillet. Is it the tight packing of the foundry sand around the original cast iron skillet? Is it the careful pour of the molten aluminum into the mold? Is it when the excess metal is sawed off? Is it the sanding to finish it off? Or maybe it’s just the egg cooking as the reward for casting your own skillet.
It might just be all of it, I think. The quiet silence of all the work makes it totally worth it (for me to watch).
